A couple of weeks ago, I emailed the editor of an archery magazine published in the UK called The Glade to see if I could use my North American-based Visa to pay for a subscription. I wanted a subscription to this magazine because I was tired of all of the bowhunting magazines in the North American market and as hunting magazines, there is little or no coverage of archery as a sport. So, I was enthusiastic about receiving my first issue.
I identified myself to the editor as a competitive archer and coach here in Canada and to my surprise, I was asked if I was interested in writing an article for The Glade that would take a look at our beloved sport from a Canadian perspective. Given that I have had occupational health and safety articles published in engineering magazines, I jumped at the chance. I haven't written the article yet but I will upload a link to my blog once its published.
